The best thing was that we were able to get tickets via Headout! Parco Güell was fully booked for the next few days and then we managed to get 2 tickets for a guided, English-speaking morning tour. The guide was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Even though the group was a bit large, Olga kept the group together well. The only thing missing was a note that there were 2 groups of castellers performing in the central mosaic seating area at noon on the same day. We stayed in the park for a while after the tour and were able to admire this fantastic spectacle.

Our guide Stephen was very entertaining and explained everything well. The fact that the weather wasn't great hardly detracted from the experience. detracted from the experience. Highly recommended!

Our guide Isabella (I hope I got that right) was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny and led an excellent tour around the Parc. We enjoyed the tour and learned a lot too. I would recommend this to others wanting to get the most out of the Parc on a visit.

Everything worked smoothly on ticketing and finding the guide at the entrance. The guide was a lover of Guadi and it showed in her passionate approach to the tour.

Discover Gaudí's architectural marvel

Originally intended to be a gated community for aristocrats, Park Güell is a burst of Gaudí's imagination that comes to life in the form of a public park. Positioned at an apt vantage point in Barcelona, this iconic park has quirky buildings, lush parks, and unique details that amuse even the most cynical visitor. Making up 5% of Park Güell, the area where the monuments are located houses Sala Hipòstila (the Hypostyle Room), Museu del Guarda (Guard Museum), Jardins d’Àustria (Gardens of Austria), Plaça de la Natura (Nature Square or terrace), Pòrtic de la Bugadera (Wash House Portico) and interesting roads, viaducts and paths that one must see to believe! Note: The whole area of the park (12ha) can be accessed by 50% of the normal capacity or at 1,400 people per hour.

Portico de la Lavendara

Straight out of any fantasy-fiction novel, this is the Portico de la Lavandera, an incredible viaduct, one of many in Park Güell.

What to bring

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes as this experience involves a fair amount of walking on uneven paths and multiple stairways.

  • During the summer months, it is recommended to bring hats/caps to protect from the sun, and water for hydration due to high temperatures.

Accessibility

  • For visitors with mobility problems, Park Güell offers two free wheelchairs for hire (subject to availability).

  • The tourist coach car park has three places for people with reduced mobility.

Additional information

  • During peak season, April to August, expect a considerable wait time at entry.

  • Pro tip: Park Güell has three entrances—choose what suits you! Av. del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya has escalators (though it’s steep), Carretera del Carmel (nº 23) is ideal for coach drop-off, and Carrer d’Olot brings you right into the Monumental Zone.

  • If you'd like to skip a lot of climbing and stairs, a great option is to take public transport like Bus #24 or grab a taxi. This will get you to the entrance at Carretera del Carmel, which is just a short 100 meters from the bus stop. You'll find the area with the monuments only another 100 meters in, and mostly flat 200-meter stroll!

  • Access to the Monumental Zone is regulated for preservation, and certain areas may be closed for renovations. Key locations include the Entrance, Guardhouse, Monumental Staircase, Hypostyle Room (inside and outside), Austria Gardens, Nature Square, pathways, viaducts, and Larrard House Ramp.

  • Children under 6 can enter for free, they just need free tickets. For a seamless entry, book their free tickets during checkout.

  • Guests are allowed to bring outside food and water into the venue. However, they must consume it in the designated picnic areas only.

  • Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.

  • Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the redemption point.

  • Please arrive at the redemption point 15 minutes before the scheduled time of your visit to avoid any delays.

Ticket redemption point

  • Please check your final voucher for the redemption point details and specific instructions.
