The artwork was awesome and it was memorable seeing the works of the Old Masters. The contemporary section however was fascinating and it would be nice to see more works of contemporary artists. The musuem was crowded so it became challenging at times to really enjoy your favourite painting or sculpture. We were also given the wrong advice in terms of which line to join even though we informed them we had pre-booked ticket for a specified time, we were told to join the general line and waited an additional hour to get into the museum. The staff at the ticket office were very unfriendly and unhelpful.

We luckily booked tickets on the net so we didn't have to queue a meter considering the people there were then inside mistakenly we did the visit the other way around and even there it went better we enjoyed the wonderful paintings and all the statues Very helpful and courteous staff who made our visit even more comfortable as well as all of Florence We thank

The Uffizi Gallery is a wonderful journey through time; the works are beautifully displayed and lit. One can understand, even just by looking without a guide, the stylistic changes from Giotto to Caravaggio. This is even more evident in the section of the self-portraits where one goes all the way to futurism. The visit is challenging and I would recommend devoting a day to this experience alone.

The Uffizi Gallery showcases masterpieces from renowned artists. Due to its popularity, the gallery can get crowded, especially in peak season, resulting in long lines. Thankfully, your timed entry tickets prevent this hassle. A set number of visitors are allowed in at once, so you can skip the ticket line, trade your voucher for physical tickets, and swiftly enter. Despite some potential waiting, it's much quicker than the regular entry. After voucher exchange and security check, you can simply walk right in!

Then you are free to stay and explore the intricacies of the various compositions on display and marvel at the work of genius artists like Da Vinci, Raffaello, Masaccio, Cimabue, and Giotto. Visit the Botticelli room and admire the Birth of Venus and Primavera, two of the most famous examples of Italian Renaissance art. A must see destination for all visitors of Florence, the Uffizi is bound to leave you spellbound and awestruck.

Re-entry is not allowed once you leave the gallery.
The following are not allowed in the venue: Flash photography, Outside food and drink, Drones, and Pets (except service animals with advance notice).

Additional information

Every first Sunday of the month, the museum follows normal opening hours and entry is free for everyone.
All visitors must leave umbrellas, large bags, and backpacks in the cloakroom located near the museum entrance. The use of the cloakroom is free.
While this ticket lets you bypass the ticketing queue, security checks still apply.
Children aged 18 years and under can enter the gallery for free. You can issue these tickets on the day of your visit, at the same desk where adults exchange their mobile vouchers.
Going for the audio guide? Simply ensure that the guides are downloaded on the Headout app before your visit. It’s super simple to use, and you get offline access with an easy language-switching feature.
