The tour is worth the money. It’s not cheap compared to the standard admission price, but it’s absolutely worth it. Our experience was incredibly positive from the very beginning—starting with the text message from Massimo asking if we were having trouble finding the meeting spot, all the way to our guide Antonella, who masterfully led us through the various rooms of the Vatican Museums, providing us with lots of details and interesting facts and answering all our questions. Thanks to these tickets, we skipped the entire line and always had priority access. Highly recommended.

Firstly, the precision with which the pre-details of the tours were given, the organization of the office staff that received us, and how welcome we felt upon arrival were what stood out the most at the start of our tour. All agents were extremely friendly and could converse with us in multiple languages, making us feel very comfortable. Secondly, we had an incredible tour guide. Our guide, Claudia, was SO knowledgeable, extremely respectful, and very graceful/patient with all the group members, always taking into account their specific needs. We accidentally went to the wrong place and thank goodness because they were extremely rude (Touristation Vaticano). Once we got to our correct meeting place, we were greeted with great enthusiasm. In fact, they even called to check our ETA. Our tour guide, Alex, was fantastic and his English was very good. There is A LOT to see at these three places and he helped to navigate it with ease. We waited in line briefly but the crowds were not too bad. Alex was very knowledgeable and his jokes made the tour even more entertaining. For the money and the ease of mind, it was definitely worth it.

The guide who accompanied us was fantastic, but I have two complaints. First, they delayed our tour, and according to a very rude guy who helped us, they’d sent me an email that never arrived... And if, like me, you booked the tour of the Basilica because you’re supposed to get in directly without waiting in line again, that’s a lie—you have to go out... Walk along the wall for about 10 minutes, get back in line, and go through security to get into the Basilica... I paid for nothing because admission to the Basilica is free.

Please note: All guests must pass through airport-style security. During high season and peak hours, the wait time at the security check may be up to 30-45 minutes.

Sometimes guides are not allowed to give tours inside the St. Peter's Basilica. On such rare occasions, they will share a brief introduction outside and you'll be free to explore the basilica by yourself.

Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica are active places of worship, some areas may be subject to sudden closures without prior notice.

Expect a long wait at security, especially during peak times. Patience is key, it could take up to an hour!

Please be aware that during the Jubilee Year, certain areas of the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel, may be inaccessible due to religious ceremonies or unforeseen circumstances. St. Peter's Basilica may also experience unannounced closures. The closure of any museum section does not entitle visitors to any refund.

St. Peter’s Basilica may be closed on Wednesday mornings and afternoons due to the Papal Audience in St. Peter’s Square. If you’d like to attend, book an exclusive invitation with guaranteed seating.

Since the Jubilee is underway, access to St. Peter's Basilica is now restricted at all entrances. To ensure entry, reservations must be completed at least 5 days in advance.

Please note the special closures of the Sistine Chapel in January 2026:

3 January (Saturday): Closed from 2pm, with last admission at 1pm.

9 January (Friday): Closed all day.

10 January (Saturday): Closed from 1pm, with last admission at 12pm.

The Vatican Museums will remain open as usual on these dates.

Note: Michelangelo’s Last Judgement will undergo maintenance until March 2026. While the Sistine Chapel remains open, views of the fresco may be partially obstructed by scaffolding.
