Situated in the Heritage Markets in the heart of Kuranda Village, Kuranda Koala Gardens offers the perfect photo opportunity with Koalas.
As you walk through the gardens, wave at Australia’s amazing native animals such as kangaroos and wallabies in a free-range enclosure.
See the iconic Greater Bilby, the Northern Bettong and Mahogany Glider in the ‘Nocturnal Wonders’ exhibit.

Head out to a boutique wildlife attraction, located at the striking Kuranda rainforest village, the Kuranda Koala Gardens! This wildlife park is home to a wide range of Australian animals, like koalas, wallabies, wombats, quokkas, gliders, and freshwater crocodiles! The recently-opened Aussie Bush Collection boasts a fascinating combo of marsupials and reptiles, living harmoniously with each other. Wave at the long-nosed Potoroos, bearded dragons, and blue-tongue lizards, all at the same place! The Tableland region exhibits nocturnal animals, giving you the chance to come face-to-face with some night-loving marsupials, such as the rare Mahogany glider, the Greater Bilby, and the northern Bettong.
