Said is one of the coolest mofos I've ever met anywhere in our travels. I know it's a lot of work and effort for guides to keep interest and entertain groups on any given day, but this guy college trained historian with a passion for history and humor will light up your day! With any such all day trip, you get out what you put in. If you want a stoic boring journey, go for it...if you want an awesome fun adventure, go for it hard with lots of jokes, sarcasm, and quirks. The guides will love it. The more involved you are, the funner it is for everyone! Thank you Mustafa Said!!

As you descend inside the Derinkuyu Underground City, you will find a newfound appreciation for the ancient folks who built it. Thousands of people previously lived, worked, and worshiped in this metropolis.

You will then travel to the Ihlara Valley for a 4-kilometer trek that will take you through spectacular cave churches and stunning rock formations. The cave churches originate from the 7th to 11th century and are among the best-preserved examples of early Christian architecture.

Enjoy Cappadocia's magnificent rock-cut landscapes

Belisirma is the next stop on your tour of Cappadocia. This quaint Anatolian village is the perfect place to enjoy a traditional lunch and explore some of the churches open to tourists. Make your way to Selime town’s rock-cut churches and see one of the largest rock-cut monasteries. End your tour with a visit to the Göreme Valley, a volcanic environment formed by erosion known as "fairy chimneys," and its surroundings, which offer moon-like landscapes and unique Byzantine art artifacts.

Surrounded by so much history, it's easy to feel like you've stepped back in time when walking through this city.
