Hakodate Views Like No Other
Visit Goryokaku Tower and climb the 107-meter-high observation deck for a breathtaking view of Goryokaku Park and the Hakodate city skyline. Use the elevator to reach the first observation level with a see-through glass floor with stunning views. Stay for a while to take in the scenery. Mount Hakodate and the Yokotsu Mountain Range are visible from here. Over the Tsugaru Strait, you may see the distant Shimokita Peninsula and Tsugaru Peninsula in the Aomori prefecture. Enjoy a stunning sunset from this commanding vantage point. Visit in winter to see the stunning Hoshi no Yume Illuminations, where the moat around Goryokaku is decked with nearly 2,000 lights.
