Your Experience

Located to the south of Marrakesh, the Agafay Desert is more of a barren, deserted plateau than a sandy desert. The seemingly endless plateau makes it the perfect place to go on a 1-hour quad biking experience and drive through idyllic Berber villages to reach Lalla Takerkoust (aka Takerkoust Lake). Admire the stunning beauty of the lake here, set against the backdrop of desert plains in front of the Atlas Mountains. You will meet the camel caravan, and go on a camel ride to take in the dazzling beauty of the sunset on the way to the Agafay Desert.

At the Agafay Desert, you will be greeted by the local band, performing regional music. Dig into freshly prepared Moroccan dishes in a Berber tent. Treat your tastebuds to delicacies like Harira (spiced tomato soup) and Beef or Chicken Tagin. When the sun sets and dusk starts taking hold, you will get a chance to stargaze under the open sky, against the desert landscape. Since there is little to no artificial light, the sight is simply spellbinding. This, coupled with the folklore performances and the beauty of the night, is an experience that you absolutely cannot miss.
