Tuz madeni etkileyiciydi. Tur rehberimiz tarafından sağlanan tüm bilgileri sevdim (Rodiga sanırım onun adıydı). The tour was excellent and well-organized. The bus was clean and punctual. Our guide, Sonia, was fantastic! She provided a detailed explanation of the itinerary and ensured everyone understood the meeting point and return time. During the drive to the salt mine, she shared interesting information about the historic buildings we passed and the city's history. We also requested a favor on the return trip, and she went above and beyond to accommodate us. I highly recommend this tour!

Apart from initial misdirection to the meeting point, the trip was comfortable, the driver/guide was knowledgeable, helpful and able to field all questions thrown at him. The mine itself was most impressive and the staff are well trained in moving the maximum number of visitors in the minimum of time. All in all, a very smooth operation.

Your Experience

Discover 2 extraordinary places in Europe: Slanic Prahova Salt Mine and The Salt Mountain. First, head to the Slanic Prahova, an all-season spa resort, famous for its healing mineral waters and its spectacular Salt Mine, one of the biggest in Europe!

Hills of history and healing

The salt mine hall stands at 70 meters tall and the circuit runs around the enormous pillar supporting the mine. Here, admire the basso-rilievo works depicting some of the most important figures in Romanian history.

Inside the Salt Mine, you will find a small history museum, a soccer field and a children's playground. The place is also used for various sports events (athletic competitions and as training ground for sport teams), as sanatorium for the elderly and the sick or as a scenery for the film industry.

After visiting the Salt Mine, the tour continues to the Salt Museum, where you can find out about the history of salt exploitation and it's biological importance.

The Salt Mine has always a constant 12-degree temperature, so it's advised to bring warm clothes.
