The park looked up and coming. The various themed areas were phenomically decorated and the food was also good in a 1950s American dining. The big problem of the day was that it was incredibly crowded. It was swarming with people and there was no place in the park where it wasn't. The park could not handle these crowds. At the various attractions we did, the carts took an unnecessarily long time to leave, causing long lines. A tip for Universal would be to list Japanese holidays and expectations for crowds on the website. A tip for visitors would be to do extensive research on expected crowds before booking your ticket.

Very easy to book tickets online. I was so glad to have booked skip-the-line tickets because there was a huge line at 15 minutes after opening. Osaka Castle was beautiful and the exhibits were quite educational.

There was an EXTREMELY long line to buy tickets to visit Osaka Castle. Luckily, we met a couple the night before that told us about buying tickets online to just show your QR code to get in quicker. So we looked it up and that's what we did. Bought the tickets in advance and there was no line to get in with our QR code. I would say it save at least 30 minutes. Totally recommended.

We hadn't pre-booked, so when we were stood in a long queue ( over 40 minute wait!) I booked online & went straight in!!!

The staff promptly allowed us to the front of the queue as soon as we showed our tickets. The staff at the Osaka Castle were so helpful to us.

All the attractions have specific height and weight restrictions. Furthermore, some rides are unsuitable for people with medical conditions. Please visit the website for more details.
Your ticket is valid only for the date and time mentioned on the ticket. Also, you can only enter the park once using your ticket.

Wheelchairs and strollers can be rented for a small fee. However, they are subject to availability and cannot be reserved beforehand.

Osaka Castle

Visitors between the ages of 12 to 15 must furnish a valid ID containing their birth date for entry.
Complimentary entry will be extended to individuals holding disability certificates along with the option for one accompanying person to also enter for free.
Should you wish to store your belongings, a fee of JPY 100 per item applies at the entrance ticket counter. This service is available from 9am to 4:30pm, with the last pickup at 5pm.
