Ancient wonders
Widely regarded as one of the most well-preserved historical attractions in Sicily, the Valle Dei Templi consists of an assortment of temples, tombs, and towers from various eras. This UNESCO world heritage site is best known for its seven temples - the Temple of Concordia, Temple of Juno, Temple of Heracles, Temple of Castor and Pollux, Temple of Hephaestus, the Temple of Asclepius, and the fabled Temple of Olympian Zeus.
Remnants of ancient Greece
Stroll through the historical ruins and get up close and personal with some of Ancient Greece’s most magnificent temples. As you explore the vast Olympeion Field, you will find remains of the old sacellum (holy enclosure) and the sanctuary of chthonic deities. The once-massive temple of Olympian Zeus, although reduced to rubble by quarrying activities, is a fascinating sight to behold. The site also contains a host of other interesting attractions such as the Oratory of Phalaris, the Tomb of Theron, and the catacombs of the early-medieval Byzantine necropolis. With this ticket, capture the essence of your journey with a Pemcards Postcard. Immortalize your experience as a digital photo that transforms into a real postcard.
Kolymbethra garden
You can also choose to visit the Kolymbethra Garden located near the Valle dei Templi. The garden epitomizes the Sicilian countryside along the Mediterranean, replete with the pleasant aroma of orange blossoms, the murmur of nearby streams, and beautiful olive trees.
