With priority access tickets at your disposal, you can make most of your time at the Palace of Versailles by bypassing the waiting queue.
The Estate of Trianon
Made up of the Grand Trianon, the Petit Trianon, the Queen’s Hamlet and beautiful ornamental gardens, the Estate of Trianon will give you a glimpse of the royals behind the court. Enjoy the unique architecture and opulence of the Grand and Petit Trianon, which was so closely connected to King Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette. Take in the rustic architecture of the Queen’s Hamlet, inspired by Normandy - a charming historic and cultural region of Northern France. Though it was mainly meant for the education of Marie-Antoinette’s children, she also hosted guests and promenades there.
The Gardens and Park
Stroll through the fabulous Gardens which were painstakingly constructed for around 40 years, with the King himself insistent on reviewing every project and “every detail”. Dotted with gorgeous statues and fountains, the Gardens are a must-visit. Beyond the Garden, the approximately 800-hectare Park offers wooded areas and agricultural fields, along with two massive water bodies - the Grand Canal and the Lake of the Swiss Guards.
