Versailles is beautiful, a must see! Too bad about too many people but it was obvious on New Year's Eve...let's say maybe the best time is spring summer to enjoy the gardens as well

I thought we would find someone to welcome us for the tour. The audio guide was only in English or French.

The Grand Trianon, which Louis XIV ordered built in 1670, was a great spot to get away from the glitz of court life and served as a convenient hiding place for the king's liaison with Madame de Montespan. The land of Marie Antoinette served as a private haven in addition to the Trianon Palaces. There was also a farm, dairy, and mill in The Queen's Hamlet, a rustic garden village based on the Hameau de Chantilly!

With this ticket, you can stroll around the hamlet and its gardens, tour the sumptuous homes of France's monarchs, and explore the grandeur of the Trianon Palaces.

If you’re short on time or would prefer to skip the long entry lines, a Versailles skip-the-line entry ticket will allow you to save anywhere from 1-3 hours of waiting.

If you happen to visit the Palace on a Tuesday, Saturday or Sunday, consider opting for a Versailles Passport ticket and catch one of the famous water fountain and musical shows.
