As I was at the Ferris wheel very early, there weren't many people, so the wait was just under five minutes. The ride was exceptionally long, breakfast was served in one gondola, so it took a little longer to clear out. There were only six people in my gondola and everyone enjoyed the ride because the waiting time for us was at the top and we enjoyed the view over the city of Vienna.View original review in German

The ride lasts 10 to 20 minutes during which you’ll experience spectacular views of the Vienna Woods hills, the picturesque River Danube, the Marchfeld, and the Pannonian Basin. You can even explore the restaurant, Fotoshop, and Souveniershop on your own.
The Giant Ferris Wheel offers more than a traditional Ferris wheel cart ride. The newly constructed The Wheel of Time – shown through the ‘Panorama’ installation – revives much-loved Prater traditions with artistic and technical audio-visual elements in eight cabins. Taking on two thousand years of the city’s history and stories about the Prater, discover the city in an extremely unique manner – high above the ground (64.75-meters to be exact) on this quintessential Ferris Wheel.
