This tour takes you on a walk through Copenhagen’s must-see attractions. You will start off from one of the most eye-catching areas of the city, Nyhavn, with its incredible multicolored townhouses. A look at some photos of Nyhavn will help you understand why this is one of the most beautiful destinations in all of Nordic Europe. As you walk through the streets of Nyhavn, your guide will give you insight into Hans Christian Andersen, where he stayed for the majority of his life, and the influence his books had on the Danish people and culture. Listen to tales centered around the fishermen of Nyhavn. You will soon walk past the Round Tower, which was home to a number of scientific discoveries. You can also catch breathtaking sights of the oldest buildings in the city at the picturesque square, called Grabrodretov by the locals.
You will then move to the royal area of the city. Originally built as a castle, rebuilt into a palace, and currently serving as the seat of the Danish Parliament, Chrisitansborg Palace has always served as Denmark’s seat of power. Your ticket includes entry to the palace. Explore the breathtaking monument, while your guide explains the significance of the building in more detail. The tour concludes after a brief walk through the landmark. You can then choose to stay here and continue exploring the palace at your own pace or go explore other attractions in the vicinity by yourself.
