A short walk from downtown Reykjavík, accessible by the city bus, the Whales of Iceland, an unmissable landmark marked by the whale mural proves a sight to behold. Join the audio-guided tour in any of the 16+ languages that you wish. Experience life-size models of 23 different species of whales as you weave through the museum. An interactive experience, you will be surrounded by the sounds of the ocean, whale calls, and dynamic lighting, and compare your size to the various whale species. You can feel and learn about the bone structures that make these giants of the sea. Walk through the Fin Whale Room to learn about the threats whales face in the sea today. Check out the Sonic Sea documentary about the lives of these mammals under the seas. Drop by the whale cafe and gift shop, for a cute souvenir of the Museum.
