The zoo hosts penguins, meerkats, majestic bald eagles, otters, and other creatures from the habitats of Africa, Asia, the Amazon, and Australia.

Zoo Miami hosts interactive experiences like feeding the giraffes at the Samburu Feeding Station throughout the day. Don't miss the fascinating Galapagos Tortoises, and Goliath, the zoo's oldest resident tipping the scales at a whopping 500 pounds! Lush rainforests with playful monkeys and jaguars walking through the undergrowth will leave you feeling like you’re in a real-life documentary. Hundreds of birds flying at the Wings of Asia Aviary is a sight you cannot miss. At the Florida exhibit, you’ll see reptilian creatures like alligators, crocodiles, and other native animals of Florida, and also catch the mighty anaconda and other rainforest animals at the Amazon and Beyond exhibit.

What’s not allowed

  • Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience. However, your guide dogs are welcome at the zoo.

  • Keep in mind – outside food and beverages are not allowed inside the zoo. Pack wisely!

  • For safety reasons, straws, balloons, skateboards, skates, bicycles, scooters, radios, glass containers, fireworks, balls, and frisbees are not allowed.

  • Feeding animals is strictly prohibited throughout the zoo, except in designated areas like the giraffe feeding station or the parrot feeding areas.

Accessibility

  • This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

  • Zoo Miami offers wheelchairs and Electronic Convenience Vehicles for rent.

  • To ensure availability, especially on weekends and holidays, it is highly recommended to reserve strollers, and wheelchairs (both manual and motorized) before your visit.

Additional information

  • Daytime admission does not include Zoo Lights.

  • A typical exploration of the zoo takes 4-5 hours. If you don’t wish to explore on foot, safari cycle rentals are available for an additional fee.

  • Oversized bags, backpacks, coolers, and luggage are permitted but will be subject to search upon entry.

  • Guests are welcome to bring food and enjoy it at the designated picnic area located near the zoo entrance.

  • Since a fair amount of walking is involved, comfortable clothing is highly recommended.

  • Your voucher will be emailed to you instantly.
