The tour guide was nice and personable. What I didn't like was the bus transfer: the legroom was massively restricted and I couldn't sit up straight as my knees pressed against the seat of the person sitting in front of me - not very pleasant over a journey time of 90 minutes. The bus driver, on the other hand, drove well.

The guide cared about the subject matter and this made his presentation more memorable. Everything was explained and well organised, the coach was comfortable, and there were times for breaks included.

Excellent from start to finish- our trip was changed by 30mins but we were notified the day before. On the day we mistakenly arrived at the wrong pick up point - we were telephoned to ask where we were and once we'd explained we had arrived at the wrong location we were advised to wait at our location and the mini bus would come and get us - we were phoned again to advise the drivers name. The journey was smooth and at Auschwitz-Birkenau 1 we were informed of how long a toilet stop we had while the driver got our tickets. We were given named tickets and a lanyard to link us all to the same group. We went through security checks very similar to an airport. Our Tour guide Anna was incredible! A very sensitive and thought provoking but harrowing experience. We were transported on a 5 min journey to the Birkenau camp where upon we met with the same Guide to be taken around this second harrowing place - again sensitively explained. There was time for a toilet break before we were brought back to Krakow by our driver.

Tour itself was good & the guide very knowledgeable Really dissatisfied that our time was changed the day before & also we booked 'pick up from hotel' which was also cancelled Talking to others this is a regular occurrence & most on our coach had had their timings changed, not great when you've booked things the same day!

Superb guided tour, well explained by the guide, bus transport from one camp to the other. Beware, however, of the tour schedule changes, which seem frequent in view of the previous comments.

Departing from Krakow, you'll travel in air-conditioned comfort, soaking in the poignant narrative woven by your licensed guide. Be prepared to step into a haunting epoch of history as you walk through the infamous 'Arbeit Macht Frei' gate into Auschwitz I and traverse the 22 brick barracks that once housed hundreds of thousands of Holocaust victims.

Unearthing the dark past and ticket options

Witness the grim realities of the Holocaust as you venture into Block 11, a harrowing prison within the prison, home to torture chambers and the site of the first extermination attempts using Zyklon B gas. The next stop is Auschwitz II-Birkenau, a camp that sprawls over an area 25 times larger than Auschwitz I and stands as a chilling testament to the scale of Nazi atrocities. Your journey culminates in a solemn moment at the Memorial, offering a space to pay respects to the victims of this grim period.
