It was good, but it was kind of difficult to book online and the discount for museum admission was not that big or the cityticket was not recognized

It was a bit complicated to install the public transport card. Actually, I should have booked directly via Wiener Verkehrsbetriebe, on whose system I was finally able to upload the 72 ticket. I liked being able to take the Standard out of my pocket at the lamppost in exchange for a payment to the cashier of my choice. I liked the attitude expressed in the interview by the mayor of Vienna about the imminent takeover by the Kickl FPÖ. Vienna, in fact the whole of Austria, must retain its cosmopolitan social climate and freedom of discourse. A radical right-wing government that betrays the idea of European cooperation and integration endangers the well-being of Vienna and Austria and is not worthy of this country. May Vienna maintain its magic.

With the Vienna City Card, we used all public transport free of charge. The high frequency of journeys makes getting around Vienna a pleasure. We were also able to get discounts on admission to all the attractions we visited. So the card is definitely worth it!

Note: Before beginning your journey, ensure your ticket is validated using a Wiener Linien ticket validator. Validation is essential to activate your ticket, which remains valid for 24/48/72-hour, or 7 days within Vienna's core zone.
Each city card holder can bring along a fellow passenger (aged 14 and below) for free.
Note that these discounts are applicable for 7 days from the date of activating/personalizing your city card.
Access to public transportation is valid for 24, 48, 72 hrs or 7 days depending on the ticket option selected.
In rare cases, some attractions may be closed for scheduled maintenance. We recommend checking the official website and planning ahead to avoid closure dates.
When purchasing a Vienna City Card, you will receive an 8-digit code that can be redeemed in the ivie app. All codes delivered by June 2 must be redeemed by June 30, 2024, at the latest.
