Unveiling the inspirations behind JK Rowling’s world
This family-friendly tour invites you to explore the sites that featured in the immensely popular movies, along with the places that inspired JK Rowling. You are welcome to dress up as your favorite witch or wizard for a more immersive experience.
Like all magical journeys, this one also starts at the King’s Cross Station and Platform 9¾. One of the most exciting stops is a shop from the design studio that provided all the paper props for the movies. From the Daily Prophet to the intricately designed Marauder’s Map, we have this institution to thank for bringing the world of Harry Potter to life. Channel your inner Hufflepuff and put your finding skills to the test by trying to spot the entrances to the Leaky Cauldron and the Ministry of Magic at the Borough Market and the Great Scotland Yard road.
Iconic landmarks with a healthy dose of movie trivia
The tour is not only about film locations. You’ll get to see landmarks like Big Ben and the Westminster area which is home to London icons like Trafalgar Square. Potterheads will remember that this is the square to which the Golden Trio escapes in the Deathly Hallows Part 1. Watch out for the Millennium (aka Wobbly) Bridge that was blown up by the Death Eaters in the Half-Blood Prince, as well as the eerie Clink Prison that is said to have inspired Azkaban. Before the tour ends, be sure to ask your guide about the best places to shop for wizarding world treats like chocolate frogs and butterbeer.
