Belem Tower is one of the iconic Lisbon sites to visit. Regardless of how tickets are purchased, it is the same, except for the audio tour provided. It's a bit unfortunate that the audio is sometimes difficult to hear, with the echoing from the rock walls and chattering of other visitors.Philip

I was wearing a billed cap and as a tall person, I failed to see the low entrance to one of the rooms on entry; I hit my head fairly hard on the low clearance rock. A sign might have helped, though it was still my fault. It hurt though.

Highly recommend visiting the Belem Tower! Only drawback was the line for tickets holders was very long.

Admire the stunning interiors of Manueline-style architecture, decorated with intricate stone carvings that depict maritime motifs, such as ropes, anchors, and sea monsters. Discover how the tower was originally built on a small island in the Tagus River, but over time, a shift in the riverbank has caused it to connect to the mainland. Climb up to the terrace of the tower, accessible via a narrow spiral staircase. It offers spectacular views of the Tagus River and the surrounding area, including the Jerónimos Monastery and the Monument to the Discoveries!
