overwhelming art collection. Sometimes somewhat confusing hallways with arrangement art does not detract from quality. Tickets to avoid the queue was necessary.

This was amazing experience, paintings and sculptures were briliant. Paper guide and map of the museum were very clear and readable. Highly recommended!

Museum was very full, but it worked. Unfortunately, there was no audio guide in German. Incomprehensible for an international and world-famous museum in this day and age. What a pity.

Lots of beautiful paintings. The Reuben's were amazing. We were disappointed because we paid for audio but did not have internet to get it on our phones and there was no one available to help. We thought we would have separate audio equipment

If you like paintings, especially if you like paintings with the religious motives, that is the place for you. But it is not like Louvre or the British Museum. It is more like a giant paintings gallery.

A cultural landmark

The Prado Museum is a site of huge national and global importance. Occupying an 18th-century neoclassical building, the museum is home to over 20,000 works of art. Including 7,500 paintings, 8,000 drawings, 4,800 prints, and 1,000 sculptures and other artworks and historical documents.

Bypass the arduous ticketing queue and, after a brief security check, you are free to roam Prado's galleries. The exhibits on display are spread over 3 levels: basement, first, and second.

Choose your own path

You can explore the museum's galleries for as long as you like. Some of the greats whose works adorn the walls are Francisco Goya, El Greco, Diego Velazquez, Hieronymus Bosch, Peter Paul Rubens, and Titian. Download an app and get a complete overview of Western art and 24 key art pieces.

Learn about the inspiration behind masterpieces like Las Meninas with an optional on-site digital audio guide in English and Spanish. If you are an avid fan of the arts you should upgrade to the Paseo Del Arte card.
