My tour guide MK was super engaging, we learned so much from him. He was super attentive making sure the group stayed together before breaktime, which made the whole experience seemless for us.Gina

I was frustrated that even though I had made reservations and paid fo the tour online, I also had to wait in a kong line to check in at the counter, as well. I wasn't aware that this would be necessary and I was quite stressed that this made me feel "late". Also, our tour guide Anna was rude and unfriendly, and even shamed me for "not listening" when I asked a question. "I already told you this". Well, she was mistaken, other passengers affirmed that she has NOT told us this. I think she is sick of this job and working with the public and it made for a much less pleasant day to be treated like a naughty child.Raquel

The hour bus ride went smoothly. Although it started 6 hrs it was not more like 4 1/2. Guide was vary informational. I did feel like we were rushed and didn't have enough time to see everything.Cruz

Transport to Montserrat
Leave behind the hustle and bustle of Barcelona and embark on a scenic journey to Montserrat, the mystical mountain range that holds a special place in Catalonia’s heart. Your adventure begins aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned coach, departing from a convenient meeting point in the city. As you drive through the changing landscapes, the urban skyline gradually gives way to rolling hills and rugged peaks. Along the way, your guide may share stories and insights into the region’s history and culture, setting the tone for the spiritual and natural wonders that await. Soon, the silhouette of Montserrat will rise before you—a majestic formation of serrated peaks that seems almost otherworldly.
Basilica of Montserrat
Visit the Basilica of Montserrat, which houses the Virgin of Montserrat, who was the patron saint of Catalonia. You can also admire from a distance the famous 12th-century Romanesque carving of the Verge Moreneta, better known as the Black Madonna. The treasures within the monastery are almost as breathtaking as the views from it.
You will then be given some free time to visit the audio-visual exhibition about the creation of Montserrat and its rich history, as well as get to taste the typical liquors of the mountain, handmade at the monastery itself. Depending on the time you arrive, you may get to enjoy the beautiful performance by the Escolania of Montserrat, the children’s choir at the sanctuary.
