Excellent day favored by very few people in the museum and of only 6 components with the 'archaeologist who was able to give us and explain the best of the museum very professional friendly and helpful to our questions I think an extra 30 minutes or so would have been appreciated overall given the vastness of the material on display But this is to blame for the tour operetorView original review in Italian

It arrived promptly by email I wasn't however aware that in addition to the tour I would have to buy an entrance ticket. This I feel should have been made clearer The tour leader was very helpful and knowledgeable and made our visit to the museum more enjoyable

Wander the galleries and admire the legendary statues of Hercules, and the majestic group called ‘Tour Farnese.’ Marvel at the mosaic of Alexander the Great as you walk through the rooms and corridors of the museum. See silvers from the House of Menandro in Pompeii and a number of Roman frescoes excavated from the Vesuvian area.
