We really enjoyed our tour of Palazzo Vecchio with the secrect passage ways. We entered a small door off the street and up the stairs to veiw highly decorated ceilings and walls. We also heard of the history of the Vecchio. Tour guide was very knowledgeable.

Accessibility

The side entrance in Via dei Gondi has been adapted for wheelchair users and disabled visitors.
The two main floors of the museum are wheelchair accessible but unfortunately, access to the mezzanine floor and some other locations are not.

Additional information

If it rains, note that Arnolfo's Tower will be closed to the public, and the medieval guard walk will be open for visiting instead.
This palace is also the seat of the city council. Unfortunately this means that on certain special occasions when institutional ceremonies are scheduled, the museum may be totally or partially closed to the public.
Children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
