We booked the guide book and map tour so we could go at our own pace and explore how we wanted. However, the guide book excluded a massive region of the Pompeii site so there was no guidance or reading available so we couldn't access the experience in the way that we wanted to. I felt very disheartend to not be able to enjoy and learn about the history of the area we were in. There were many grammatical errors and spelling mistakes in our guide book (we had the English translated version) The map was unclear and hard to follow, especially diffcult as we didn't have a clear guide from our book either Overall, not happy with the experience as we were not informed about sections of information missing, if we were we would have booked somewhere else. Not clear advertising.

No skip-the-line tickets were needed. The normal ticket office was empty. The guidebook is only moderately accurate. Numbers in the book do not match those on the map. Numerous spelling mistakes.View original review in German
