Our guide Elsa was admirable, as we were only one French couple, and she didn't hesitate to translate all her explanations into French. Thanks to her, we avoided the long queue, which meant we could easily reach the Mona Lisa room.

Congratulations for employing Ivana! Ivana was superb, has extensive knowldege and passion for art and history. The tour ran smoothly and in 2 hours we had a completed an excellent introduction to the Louvre and seen some masterpieces. Ivana was warm and friendly with an in-depth knowledge of the masterpieces as well as the surrounding artworks. This tour was inspiring and kept 2 adults and an 11 year old engaged and interested to the end.

After a short while they evacuated everyone, so my fast access ticket didn't last long. Personal in the museum was verry rude. The person doung the tour was nice tough, and the meeting point was easy to reach

We had a fabulous tour with Wendy, even with the uncertainty of an emergency evacuation right as we were to start she kept us calm, stayed with us and delivered the tour an hour later than expected. She had fantastic background information about both the artwork in the Louvre, history of the building and France in general. She was our favorite tour of the 5 tours we took across our 14 day trip!

Why should you visit the Louvre?

Once a Royal Palace, the Louvre was later converted into a public museum at the end of the French Revolution. Today, the Louvre houses one of the most expansive art collections in the world, with pieces from all periods. Notably, the museum has pieces from the Egyptian civilization, the Mesopotamian civilization, the Greek and Roman civilizations, along with pieces of Islamic art. Visiting the Louvre allows you to see all these art pieces, including Da Vinci’s most famous work – the Mona Lisa. If you enjoy history and classical art, make sure you visit the Louvre at least once while in Paris.

Guided tour of the Louvre

Once you join the 2-3-hour tour, you will be guided through all the sections of the Louvre by your tour guide. The guide will narrate all the details relevant to each section while highlighting the most notable pieces. See the beautiful Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory, the great French neoclassical paintings, and the masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance.
