GroupVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5It was an great experience all around. Othman, the guide, was extremely knowledgeable, smart, caring and accomodating. The driver, whose name I cannot remember, was also very good and we sailed smoothly across Cairo. They accomodated ann addition to the tour (two mosques) with grace and flexibility. The tour allowed us to save an immense amount of time and stress and enjoy the fantastic sights. The lunch was also good, albeit in a tourist-y buffet restaurant (but clean and the food was good). Strongly recommended.MManish J
GroupVerified booking2 days ago5/5Initially guide was quite interested but after an hour or so was just leaving us and he was explaining us only when we were asking. We saw other guides who were explaining the group with passion and in detail keeping the interest levels of participants high. He was in hurry at pyramid but left us at one paper shop and perfume shop for more than an hour (may be for commissions on purchase.AAriane R
GroupVerified bookingJun 20265/5With a private guide, moving between attractions was easy and seamless, with no significant loss of time. Be careful, however, about the guide’s suggestions for places outside the booked attractions (Papyrus Museum, spice & perfume production). Just politely decline those.BBenoit D

From the Magnificent Pyramids to a Hearty Lunch
Get picked up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza by your guide and enjoy the drive to the Pyramids of Giza. Look out the window and admire Egypt’s fantastic art deco, great shopping areas bustling with people, and great roads. A sense of awe is what you will feel as soon as you arrive at your destination and witness the beauty of the incredible pyramids. Listen to interesting historic facts about these pyramids like how each one, Cheops, Chephren & Mykerinos—corresponds to the kings for whom they were built. In addition, you will also visit the Sphinx, the majestic statue, the largest in the world, that stands as a guardian outside the funeral complex with its lion body and the head of King Chephren, from the 4th Dynasty. Your guide will then lead you to the Valley Temple, home to Pharaoh Khafre, built in the mid-to-late 26th century BC. It is built of limestone and faced with polished Aswan granite which still gives it a very refined look. Take a lunch break inside a local restaurant that will serve you a complete Egyptian meal.
After relishing a delicious meal, enter the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities which houses over 120,000 masterpieces, ranging from the pre-dynastic era to the Pharaonic and Greco-Roman periods. See and learn about the treasures of King Tutankhamun, the king of the 18th Dynasty.
Shopping on the Streets of Khan El Khalili Bazaar
No trip to Egypt would be complete without a visit to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. The bazaar is what a typical market should be like. It is loud, crowded, colorful, and exciting—full of all kinds of goods and shiny baubles. Take home fresh spices of any variety, the best perfumes, and essential oils. The more you explore, the luckier you get at finding interesting pieces of antiques. The tour ends with you getting dropped off at your hotel.
