Museums in Cairo

Smooth entry, well organized, impeccably clean, friendly staff, plenty of space around the display cases, everything was fine.

I had been waiting for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in its new location for a long time. I rate my visit very highly. The museum is impressive. The huge building and the exhibition in the staircase hall make a great impression. I visited all 12 sections. Of course, the treasures from Tutankhamun's tomb made the biggest impression and aroused the most emotions. Very good descriptions of the exhibits, plenty of space – you can see everything thoroughly and take photos. A big plus for the easily accessible bathrooms and rest areas. Another plus for the brochures with the exhibition plan. I missed a publication – a catalog with the most important exhibits. I would like to have such an album, I would even pay $100 for it.

In Giza, I used the new entrance. It was a good decision. Then I used electric buses, getting off at several stops to take photos. Buses are a very good idea. They run frequently and are user-friendly. Older people don't get tired while sightseeing.

It was my childhood dream and wish to visit the pyramids and words are not enough to describe the feeling and experience I had fulfilling my dream. The experience of entering the pyramid of Kufu was ethereal. The crowd was big but it was expected and well managed.

A wonderful museum. I felt very comfortable there. It would be nice if the artist whose work is displayed in the corridor were introduced. I really enjoyed those paintings! The museum shop is well-stocked. A walk to the lake would be great!

Absolutely loved seeing all the mummies. Really clever how they were layed out on chronological order. After that, seeing more of Egypt's history upstairs was brilliant.

Me and friend thoroughly enjoyed the crystal dinner cruise . The meal,the setting,the boat and welcome was top class. The entertainment was more exciting to watch especially the whirling dervish was brilliant. Food was the best i had in Egypt with as much as you like for your fill. Thankyou to the staff, cooks, servers, captain, musicians, entertainers and all who made this a memorable evening. It didn't seem long enough on the lovely Nile
