A treasure hunt for history lovers
Explore 12 brand-new galleries that each bring a unique piece of Egypt’s story to life. Galleries 1-3 take you to the prehistoric period with hunting tools and vivid wall paintings. Then, head to the Middle Kingdom in Galleries 4-6, where statues of divine figures like Osiris, the god of death, will greet you. Galleries 7-9 offer a glimpse into the New Kingdom’s splendor (though the treasures of King Tut are still under wraps). Galleries 10-12 guide you through the Graeco-Roman Period, Late Period, and Third Intermediate Period, with artifacts that span from 1069 BCE to 394 AD. Ready for a challenge? To participate in the Discovery Challenge, participants must have a smartphone to play. Children under 12 years need to be accompanied by a guest above 16 years.

The Discovery Challenge takes place daily at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm, with an additional slot on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 6pm. The starting point is at the information desk in the Grand Hall.
